CO-Chairs

Charlie Mayers and Suraj Vaddi

Charlie Meyer is a third year from Chevy Chase, Maryland studying computer science and entrepreneurship. Having debated at VAMUN during his high-school MUN career & now chairing his third VAMUN committee, he is incredibly excited to lead an awesome conference and see all the delegates on grounds! Charlie also runs Virginia International Crisis Simulation (VICS), UVA’s premier collegiate MUN conference, alongside also serving as treasurer. Outside of MUN, Charlie is an avid entrepreneur, working on his new app - DoorShop (downloadable on the App Store today!), loves to lift, skate, and jam to Metallica. He’s super excited to meet everyone at VAMUN and make it a memorable weekend for all!

Suraj Vaddi is a second year from Northern Virginia studying computer science and math, and he’s thrilled to serve as your JCD Crisis Director for VAMUN XLIV. He’s competed since his freshman year of high school and is currently the Crisis Training Director for the UVA MUN team. In the past, he’s served as the Director-General of VICS (UVA’s collegiate MUN conference) and chaired the ICOPH committee last year at VAMUN. In his free time, Suraj can be found grabbing dinner with friends, dancing on the UVA Hooraas team, and doing research at the intersection of environmental science and engineering. He’s excited to read creative arcs from delegates and to see how delegates balance diplomacy with assertiveness and leadership in committee. At the end of the day, he prioritizes respect and adaptability. He’s super excited to meet everyone at VAMUN and make it a memorable, fun, and educational weekend for everyone!
