In the present day, global crime has been forced to adapt to a rapidly digitalized world. The threat of cybercrime has never been greater as information and communication technologies have become an integral part of day-to-day operations. Criminals constantly target government bodies, elections, corporations, intellectual property, and unsuspecting citizens through ever-shifting platforms. UNODC delegates must investigate the roles of international collaboration, legal measures, technological advancements, and public awareness in enhancing global cybersecurity and protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats.
Perhaps overshadowed by the rise in cybercrime, organized crime remains entrenched in societies around the globe and is a significant threat to global security, economic development, and social stability. This topic will explore the multifaceted nature of organized crime, as well as the dynamic role it plays within communities. UNODC delegates must discuss actions to quell the presence of organized crime in relation to the distribution of illicit goods and services.co-chairs

Grace Bradecamp and Macgregor francis
Grace is a third year biology major at UVA who has been participating in Model UN since her freshman year of high school. Besides IRO, Grace volunteers with Madison House and has also submitted poetry to V-Mag.
Macgregor is a fourth-year from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. He is pursuing a double major in Politics and Global Environments & Sustainability. He writes for the Arts & Entertainment desk at The Cavalier Daily and is a leading contributor to the Charlottesville Solar Project and UVA Lorax Society. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music (rap and indie) and playing sports.
